What is it?  Advanced Open Water (AOW) is the next rung up the recreational scuba diving ladder.   To achieve this certification, divers complete 5 adventure dives (including the required Deep and Underwater Navigation dives plus three additional dives of your choosing).  The course includes Knowledge Development (book or e-learning) and  five Dives.

How much?  $499

How long?  Dives are spread over two days.  Knowledge development is self-study at the diver's convenience and prior to dives.

What's Included?  Course materials (e-learning or manual), data carrier, certification fee and lake entry fees are all included.  Rental gear, if required, is extra (but cheap!)

What Can I Do with AOW?  You will be exposed to some of the PADI Specialities (in fact, you may even receive credit for an AOW adventure dive toward that specialty!)   You will also be permitted by certain dive boat operators to dive deeper than the 60' Open Water limit.
